Automotive manufacturing facility in the UK
The company was experiencing good levels of growth as a result of the changes in Health and Safety laws in the UK. The management were going through a company wide training programme on lean manufacturing but realised they needed more support to speed up the growth programme and create greater ownership on the shop floor if targets were to be met successfully.
The programme of work included coaching team leaders and operators at the point of execution and implementing 5 S’ techniques on the assembly lines. Operators themselves carried out Kaizen techniques to identify potential improvements.
